Caroline Herron
Caroline was a founding member of an information technology company which was focused on designing and developing systems specifically for the retail market. This company expanded to become a fully listed company in 1998.
She is passionate about the importance of Knowledge Management and Metadata. As a Graduate in Mathematics and Chemistry as well as a B.Comm and a two-year PDM from Wits Business School, her combined scientific and business insights have brought a clear commitment to the importance of Corporate Knowledge in successfully managing enterprises today.
She has extensive experience in project management and business systems development and implementation, and has installed Project Management frameworks in several organisations. She has led teams in developing retail inventory and distribution systems for FMCG market, as well as applying her mathematical qualifications to the problems of inventory management.
Caroline has implemented Knowledge and Information Assets Management systems at major Financial Institutions in South Africa. This involved extensive feasibility studies for Meta Data, Governance, Authentication and Directories, Customer Identity Matching and the ability of these solutions to generate revenue for the corporation.
